Guided Tour

Family tour of the museum with translation into sign language (DSGS)

July 13, 2025 | 13:00 - 14:00 Uhr | 14:30 - 15:30 Uhr
An interactive museum scene with several people of different ages, including older adults and children. An older woman and a girl stand at a table and try to glue ceramic shards together to form a vessel. An older man and another girl are watching the activities intently. Other visitors and exhibition showcases can be seen in the background. The scene conveys an atmosphere of learning and co-operation.
Discover with your family the exhibition "The perfect dinner. Romans, power and rubbish". What made a Roman banquet so special? Who took part? And which Roman traditions still live on today?
On our tour of the exhibition "The perfect dinner. Romans, power and rubbish", we will embark together on a journey into the world of the Romans. At various stations, we will immerse ourselves in Roman culture and learn how food and drink for the banquet found their way to Augusta Raurica. You will also learn why and how wine was refined back then. Those who wish (and are old enough) will have the opportunity to taste Roman wine at the end.
The tour is interpreted into Swiss-German sign language.
