A detective in an office with a cigarette examines a file in black and white contrasts.
The Cartoonmuseum Basel is showing the life's work of Argentinian cartoonist José Muñoz (*1942), who is known for his expressive black-and-white comic strips depicting the everyday lives of outsiders on the margins of society. This major retrospective also introduces visitors to the painterly Muñoz and his love of music and dance, as the artist opens his archive to the public for the first time. Find out more about this socially critical and virtuoso master on a guided tour with curator Anette Gehrig.
