1870/71: neighbours at war

Today: 11.00 AM - 6.00 PM

22 May 2021 - 09 January 2022

The Franco-Prussian War of 1870/71 barely plays a role in collective memory. The consequences were not only serious for Baden and the Upper Rhine, but also for both nations. The victory over Napoleon III made France a republic and brought German unity under Kaiser Wilhelm I. With a selection of historical pictures and documents, the Three Countries Museum illuminates the effects of this war on the southern Upper Rhine.
