Paul Ibenthaler is one of the most important artists of the 20th century in southern Baden. With his Expressive Realism he made a significant contribution to Markgräfler art after the Second World War. 100 years ago, on 18 June 1920, he was born in Lörrach. In a large special exhibition, the Three Countries Museum presents a retrospective of his manifold work. With over 130 works, the Three Countries Museum also has an important collection of representative large-format paintings, linocuts and ink drawings.
