Werkbetrachtung

Jeder Mensch reagiert anders auf ein Bild, nimmt es auf seine Weise wahr. Sich darüber auszutauschen, steht im Mittelpunkt der Werkbetrachtung, die alle 14 Tage am Mittwoch über den Mittag stattfindet. Während der kurzen, aber intensiven Auseinandersetzung mit einem ausgewählten Kunstwerk/ einer/m ausgewählten Künstler/in erhalten Sie zudem Informationen über die Besonderheiten des Werks, den Künstler bzw. die Künstlerin und die entsprechende Epoche.

Mittwochs, alle 14 Tage: 12.30 – 13.00 Uhr

Beginning Thursday, 7 May, admission tickets are available online only at www.fondationbeyeler.ch/tickets with a choice of time slots. Online timed tickets are valid for a specific date and time, chosen freely by visitors according to availabilities. Please be punctual: arriving more than 30 minutes late may mean you have to wait.

Institution

Art, architecture and nature are harmoniously combined in the Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art. The building in the idyllic Berower Park was designed by architect Renzo Piano. The collection contains over 400 masterpieces of modern and contemporary art, including works by Picasso, Monet, Matisse, Cézanne, Giacometti – as well as Andy Warhol, Louise Bourgeois, Gerhard Richter and many more. The internationally renowned programme mounts three to four temporary exhibitions and presentations of the collection every year.

Access

We recommend the use of public transportation to reach the museum. Travel time from Basel, Badischer Bahnhof is only a few minutes; from Basel SBB station, about 25 minutes.
The tram stop is very close to the museum.

From Basel city center take the tram 6 > Fondation Beyeler
Or train S6 from the Basel SBB railway station to Riehen,
or go to the car park Zentrum.

Accessibility

It is very important to us that people with disabilities feel comfortable in our museum. All rooms are one level, making everything easily accessible to wheelchair users and people with impaired mobility. These visitors may also make use of our wide variety of guided tours and workshops without any restrictions. We offer specially designed guided tours of the exhibitions to help people with impaired sight or hearing experience the world of artworks.

Use main entrance and you can find parking lots for disabled on Baselstrasse 70.
