Kunsthalle Basel
20 July 2022 | 10.00 AM - 12.00 PM
The sumptuously layered paintings of Kenyan-born artist Michael Armitage reference current events and politics as well as memories and mythology. This delightful combination of reality and the unknown takes us on a joint tour through the exhibition. In an intense exchange, the pictorial worlds are gradually deciphered and the emerging themes reflected upon.
