Time witnesses in world format - Swiss poster art 1940 to the present

Today: 11.00 AM - 6.00 PM

18 November 2023 - 03 March 2024

A selection of 25 outstanding posters in world format "F4" shows how creatively and independently the internationally highly regarded Swiss poster scene has developed over the past eight decades. An initially new visual language, it became known through works for industry, tourism and culture and is still admired today for its formal discipline. The exhibition unites a wide variety of design styles. It also documents important aspects of contemporary history as well as social and economic changes as a journey through time. The posters are from the "FormatF4" collection by the Basel collector Dieter Tschudin.
